Building in a sustainable manner today conserves natural resources that must be available for all future generations. There are many positive economic, social, and environmental benefits associated with green building which reach communities, individuals and businesses alike. Sustainable building contributes to the development of local economies and the improvement of the local environment. This in turn sustains the lives of the citizens working and living within them.
Healthy Home Designs Healthy Home Designs is dedicated to designing eco-centered dwellings that positively promote the wellness of their occupants while using building materials that are, for the most part, environmentally benign. Houses in the Healthy Home Designs portfolio are custom-tailored for maximum energy efficiency, yet they "breathe" thanks to the benefits of natural ventilation and good design. Each plan makes use of resource-conserving materials, as well as low-tox materials that don't outgas or pollute the environment. Site preparation (clean up, recycling, disposal of waste) is carried out in a way that protects the environment as well as the home's inhabitants. Since they employ soft-path technologies, constructing one of our houses need not be expensive. Building costs should not exceed 7% more than standard construction.
